2027 Zhengbin Harbour Museum of Art –Space Moor:Exhibition & Sales /Arts Residency Open Call

Founded and curated by the Xingbinshan team at Keelung’s Zhengbin Fishing Harbor in 2021, the Zhengbin Harbour Museum of Art presents an exciting annual programme of curated exhibitions. Building on this foundation, we established Space Moor, a permanent venue that serves both as a creative hub for discovering the city of Keelung and as the museum’s year-round exhibition space. Through open calls and invitations, we welcome young creatives to join us under two programmes: Exhibition & Sales and Artist Residency. Together, we continue to explore, create, and push boundaries. Welcome to Keelung’s first experimental art space! Our open call particularly encourages proposals that engage with Keelung’s harbour and maritime culture. Applications are also welcome regardless of discipline, theme, or medium. We invite practitioners working in artistic creation, cultural promotion, social design, cultural and creative industries, and related fields to join us. We look forward to meeting people who are interested in interacting with the Xingbinshan team and the city of Keelung at Space Moor, where we can connect, exchange ideas, and learn from one another. Here, you can step away from everyday routines and experience a different creative process and way of life. You may also freely transform the exhibition space to showcase and sell your work. The Xingbinshan team’s promotional platforms will provide additional marketing exposure. Beyond the enjoyment of travel and the inspiration it brings, we hope your time here will help you move towards the future and share the memories you create with this city. Creating Our Everyday Moments in Your Future!

2026 Xinpi Hakka Village Art Residency Project

Xinpi is a traditional Hakka settlement. Whether fortunate or unfortunate, it did not keep pace with the rapid development of modern society and has therefore preserved many traces of earlier ways of life. The Hakka are also known for their reserved character, and their cultural distinctions from other ethnic groups are not always immediately visible. For non-Hakka communities, Hakka culture may seem somehow distinctive, yet difficult to describe in concrete terms. The “Xinpi Hakka Village Artist Residency Program” seeks to draw upon artists’ perceptive observations and creative approaches to explore the distinctive qualities of Hakka culture. Through a wide range of artistic media, participating artists present the community’s cultural heritage, landscapes, customs, history, and religious beliefs, helping to bring the Hakka image within Taiwan’s diverse cultural mosaic into clearer focus. First launched in 2023, the program is now entering its third edition. We look forward to seeing this year’s residency blossom and bear beautiful fruit.
