2026“Art Guerrilla”Artist Residency Open Call in Matsu

Creative Theme : The creative theme is to be determined by the artist. The work must take Matsu as its theme, and preference will be given to works created specifically for Matsu that reflect local characteristics, demonstrate care for the local community, and contribute to the region. It is hoped that the work will have the potential for continued development in the future. Residency Location and Number of Artists : 1. Residency Period: From September 1 to October 15, 2026. The maximum residency period is 1.5 months, or 45 days. Each artist must stay in residence for at least 38 days and no more than 45 days. The day of departure from the outlying island will not be counted as part of the residency period. 2. Preset Residency Locations and Number of Artists: Approximately 7 to 8 artists will be selected. Eligibility : 1. Applicants: Open only to artists of R.O.C. nationality aged 20 to 45, born between 1980 and 2005. Artists who participated in this residency program between 2019 and 2024 will not be eligible to apply again. 2. Categories: All types of artistic creation are accepted. 3. Application Period: From 9:00 a.m. on June 10 to 5:00 p.m. on June 30, 2026.

2027 Taiwan Ceramics Residency Program

Yingge has more than 200 years of ceramic-making history and a rich ceramic culture. The Yingge Ceramics Museum was established here and is dedicated to the preservation and innovative development of ceramic culture, while actively promoting international artistic exchange. To expand diverse perspectives in contemporary ceramic art and encourage artists from different cultural backgrounds to inspire and learn from one another, the museum has specially planned an international residency program, providing ceramic artists from around the world with opportunities to engage deeply with Taiwan’s ceramic art and culture. Through a professional creative environment, well-equipped ceramic facilities, and rich cultural resources, this program invites artists from Taiwan and abroad to take part in residency creation and exchange with local artisans, scholars, and members of the public who are passionate about ceramic art, making Yingge an important hub for the development of international ceramic art. We sincerely invite artists who are passionate about ceramic art to join this program. Through residency creation, ceramic art can spark new possibilities between tradition and the contemporary, and between the local and the international, as we together witness the diverse development of ceramic art within the global art landscape.

Jan van Eyck Academie 2 Material Research Fellowships 2027

The Jan van Eyck Academie welcomes applications for 2 Material Research Fellowships between 15 January – 15 December 2027! Candidates with a thorough artistic practice in material research are welcome to apply with an existing project to further develop during an 11-month residency at the Jan van Eyck Academie. Fashion & Textile Material Fellowship supports an existing research project exploring sustainable and biobased approaches to fashion and/or textile materials, with the aim of encouraging the transition towards more ecological fashion systems. The selected Fellow will collaborate with the Jan van Eyck Academie and Textile Innovation Maastricht (TIM). Future Materials Fellowship supports an existing project featuring a biobased material or materials process applicable across a broad range of creative practices, offering viable alternatives to common toxic or fossil-based materials used in arts and design. The selected Fellow will have access to the Jan van Eyck Academie and CHILL at Brightlands Chemelot Campus, among other partners. Both Fellows will work among a cohort of some 35 international artists, designers, curators, writers, and other creative minds, and will be supported by the Jan van Eyck Labs — Future Materials, Material Matters, Food, Printing & Publishing, Photography & Audiovisual, and the Library. These Fellowship positions are part of the Future Threads programme, supported by the JTF Fonds voor Rechtvaardige Transitie.

Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS) offers artist-in-residence programs for international creators working in various creative fields to stay, engage in creation, and conduct research activities in Tokyo. TOKAS is pleased to announce the open call for creators participating in TOKAS Residency Programs 2027. “International Creator Residency Program” aims to invite distinguished and highly motivated creators in the fields of visual arts, design, and architecture from all over the world and offer them with opportunities to work in Tokyo. We provide financial support to allow creators to develop and present new works and ideas. The result of the residency will be presented at the OPEN STUDIO. “Curator Residency Program” aims to invite distinguished and highly motivated curators in the fields of curation, art criticism, and cultural research from all over the world and offer them with opportunities to conduct research in Tokyo. We provide support to allow curators to develop and present their research and ideas. Selected curators are required to give mentoring sessions to local emerging creators, and deliver a public talk. “Research Residency Program” gives opportunities to conduct research on arts and culture in the city of Tokyo, targeting both international and local creators in the fields of visual art, film, design, architecture, music, sound art, performing arts, curation, art criticism, cultural research, and writing.
