Ox-Bow Slow Season Residency（Fall 2026–Spring 2027）

Beginning in Fall 2026, Ox-Bow School of Art & Artists’ Residency invites artists of all disciplines and at all stages of their careers to apply for a self-directed residency during Ox-Bow’s quieter seasons. The program offers artists a contemplative environment in which to focus on their creative practices. Residents may use their time on Ox-Bow’s historic campus to develop new work, conduct research, explore creative ideas, and work independently away from the distractions of everyday life. Each resident is provided with a dedicated, simple studio space. The residency is particularly suitable for artists working in drawing, painting, writing, and other media that do not require specialized equipment. Ox-Bow’s specialty studios are not open during the Slow Season Residency. The program is therefore best suited to artists who can work independently and whose projects do not depend on specialized ceramics, glass, metals, printmaking, or other studio facilities.
