| More About Residency |
Ox-Bow School of Art and Artists' Residency
|
The program offers artists a contemplative environment in which to focus on their creative practices. Residents may use their time on Ox-Bow’s historic campus to develop new work, conduct research, explore creative ideas, and work independently away from the distractions of everyday life.
Each resident is provided with a dedicated, simple studio space. The residency is particularly suitable for artists working in drawing, painting, writing, and other media that do not require specialized equipment.
Ox-Bow’s specialty studios are not open during the Slow Season Residency. The program is therefore best suited to artists who can work independently and whose projects do not depend on specialized ceramics, glass, metals, printmaking, or other studio facilities.
| Duration | The Slow Season Residency begins in Fall 2026 and is offered annually during the following months: September、October、November、March、April The current application covers Fall 2026 through Spring 2027. Specific residency dates will be scheduled around Ox-Bow’s campus programming. Residencies are generally offered for a period of two to four weeks. Applicants are encouraged to indicate multiple possible dates or a broad range of availability in their application. |
