Most people are no stranger to various traffic circles in Tainan. However, how many of them have the experience of stepping inside?

The interior and exterior part of a traffic circle are two completely different worlds. Outside is the rapid flow of vehicles, just like the contemporary society overly crowded by information. On the other hand, a silence and still space is shaded inside the circle, trapping the symbolic figure of powerholders from different ages in history, as if there was a secret meeting across history happening inside the eye of typhoon.

While standing in the circle, we not only saw weeds, piles of stacking history, or old rusty park benches. Twisted and distorted scenes from far outside such as cars, buildings, temples, and statues, came into our eyes with the speed and roaring sound. As two people who like printmaking and intend to challenge the routine of printmaking, Jhen-Ling Weng and Hsin Shyu would like to build up a distorted scenery surrounding a symbolic traffic circle in this exhibition using the logic of stencil and roller-inking. If we take the edge of circle as a boundary, we can be the audiences watching outside world, meanwhile the co-performers on the inside stage.
