ZONE ART is dedicated to bringing artistic interventions into Taoyuan to spark continuous dialogues with the city and its environment. Since 2019, ZONE ART has co-curated various local art action projects with local brand "VP Arthouse" to map out the diverse urban environment, aiming to generate renewal and re-creation between new culture and historic heritage through distinct artistic perspectives.

In 2026, we expanded our range of local observation. In addition to extending the hydrological history in the arts & culture district, the concept of "the old city and the new city" in urbanization became a key thematic direction, striving to engage the fluid state of Taoyuan’s residents, water, and city in dialogue with the local environment.

In 2027, we continue to build upon keywords such as "Migration," "Old City and New City," and "Temporality." We invite proposals to explore the continuity of dialogue surrounding "intermediaries between the new and the old," and to examine whether the local dynamic of "flowing" and "staying" can serve as a methodology for stationed exchange.

Duration	3 months per period in 2027: - Spring Project : April – June 2027 (Exhibition in July) - Summer-Autumn Project : August – October 2027 (Exhibition in November) - For major projects, a 6-month residency (2 periods) may be granted based on project evaluation.

Funding	◉ Studio & Accommodation Space: A 16.5-square-meter private accommodation (including a double bed, desk, and chair set) and a 33-square-meter communal open space, which artists can use as a studio. (Please refer to the attached file for details). ◉ Free Accommodation & Studio Usage: Basic living and creation needs are provided free of charge during the residency. ◉ Exhibition Material Subsidy: NTD 10,000. ◉ Advisory & Application Support: Assistance in joint applications for relevant creation or exhibition grants. ◉ Special Collaboration: Participating artists will collaborate with ZONE ART’s second space, The Artist’s Living Room, to develop and produce a signature tea product. Each artist will have an exclusive tea blend reflecting their local creative style and artistic personality.

Selection Procedure	Selected artists will be informed by email.
Expected Outcome	◉ Must hold at least one public exhibition/presentation of the artworks created during the residency. ◉ Host 2 events (Artist Workshops or Talks/Lectures). ◉ The presentation exhibition can be proposed in a specific local observation site or held inside the ZONE ART gallery.
