More About Residency New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum
Yingge has more than 200 years of ceramic-making history and a rich ceramic culture. The Yingge Ceramics Museum was established here and is dedicated to the preservation and innovative development of ceramic culture, while actively promoting international artistic exchange. To expand diverse perspectives in contemporary ceramic art and encourage artists from different cultural backgrounds to inspire and learn from one another, the museum has specially planned an international residency program, providing ceramic artists from around the world with opportunities to engage deeply with Taiwan’s ceramic art and culture.

Through a professional creative environment, well-equipped ceramic facilities, and rich cultural resources, this program invites artists from Taiwan and abroad to take part in residency creation and exchange with local artisans, scholars, and members of the public who are passionate about ceramic art, making Yingge an important hub for the development of international ceramic art.

We sincerely invite artists who are passionate about ceramic art to join this program. Through residency creation, ceramic art can spark new possibilities between tradition and the contemporary, and between the local and the international, as we together witness the diverse development of ceramic art within the global art landscape.
Duration Minimum 60 days, maximum 90 days; periods: Jan–Mar, Apr–Jun, Jul–Sep, Oct–Dec 2027
Fields and Media Craft
Funding Free semi-open ceramic studio space and existing equipment; material subsidy up to NT$30,000; transportation/flight support; single-person accommodation
Provided by Host Provides workspace, equipment, partial material subsidy, accommodation, and one round-trip airport transfer between Taoyuan Airport and the museum for foreign artists
Costs Artists must pay transportation upfront and keep receipts for reimbursement; special materials unavailable in Taiwan must be prepared by the artist; precious materials, post-firing processing, display, shipping, etc. are not covered
How to Apply Apply online and by email. Prepare photos of 6 works, 2 photos per work, 12 photos in total, upload them to personal cloud storage, complete the application form, and email the links to ycmresidency@gmail.com with the required subject line
Selection Procedure After the deadline, YCM invites experts, scholars, and museum representatives to form a selection committee. Seven artists will be selected based on work documentation and residency proposals; slots may remain vacant if standards are not met
Expected Outcome Artists must provide one ceramic work as educational material and conduct at least one workshop, demonstration, community project, or school collaboration
