Fondation Fiminco

The name of the project is inspired by Phalaenopsis Aphrodite, an orchid native to Orchid Island, symbolizing the uniqueness and originality of Taiwanese culture, as well as the hope that Taiwanese creators may shine on the international stage. During the residency, Fondation Fiminco will arrange Open Studio events and related professional exchange visits for the selected artist, facilitating dialogue with curators, collectors, gallery directors, museum scholars, journalists, and art critics. The program will also include cultural field visits, allowing the artist to explore institutions and perspectives in contemporary art across the Greater Paris region. Depending on the results of the residency, a presentation or showcase may also be arranged toward the end of the program.
Fondation Fiminco was established in 2017 by Groupe Fiminco with the aim of supporting contemporary art and promoting greater cultural accessibility in the Greater Paris area.
