| Funding | 1. Material fee for the residency plan and the workshop plan; NT$35,000 as maximum (valid receipts required for the reimbursement). 2. A daily living allowance of NT$800 (Date of departure excluded). 3. Transportation fee: Offering one round-trip economy class flight ticket or one round-trip reserved seat ticket for Taiwan High Speed Rail Standard Car round-trip tickets as maximum, depending on the artist's place of residence. (valid receipts or ticket stubs required for reimbursement). |

| How to Apply | 1. To promote environmental sustainability, only online applications will be accepted. Please complete the online application form available: https://www.pier2air.tw/en/apply/ 2. Applicants are required to submit the following documents: (※Please submit all documents in PDF format and provide a cloud link with open access for download.) - Artist curriculum vitae and artist statement (no more than three A4 pages) - Residency plan (no more than three A4 pages) - Workshop plan (no more than three A4 pages) - Portfolio - One recommendation letter from a person-in-charge at an art institution, exhibition curator, or art critic, etc. (in digital format) 3. Evaluations will be conducted based on all submitted documents. Any works found to be false, incomplete, or not meeting the requirements will not be considered, and no notice will be issued in such cases. |
| Selection Procedure | 1. The review process is conducted in three stages: 1-1. Qualification review based on applicants’ submitted documents. Successful applicants will be notified by email and invited for online interviews. 1-2. Online interviews will further explore the applicants' residency plans. 1-3. The review committee makes the final selection of resident artists based on the results of the first and second stages. 2. Final results will be notified via email in early October 2025. The announcement date and the number of selected artists are subject to PAIR's decisions. The final list will be published on the PAIR website and the 2026 Open Call website. |
| Expected Outcome | 1. Artists are required to execute their residency plan and workshop plan before the residency period expires. 2. Artists shall fill in the online reflection sheet before they finish the residency. 3. Artists are required to fulfill their workshop plan for engaging the local during the residency period. (Not only workshops but also academic exchange, educational programs, community empowerment plan or lectures are all possible approaches) 4. Artists should participate in art educational events or programs organized by the Pier-2 Art Center, such as seminars, exhibitions, performances, open studios, and other exchange activities. |
