More About Residency Taipei Artist Village
Artist-in-Residence (AIR) Taipei is operated by the Taipei∣Treasure Hill Artist Village. The program aligns with international artist-in-residence sites, provides artists from both Taiwan and abroad with residence opportunities and forms an open platform that also acts as a web of solid, international connections, drawing in diverse communities in various disciplines to exchange and broaden each other’s perspectives.

How to Apply:
(1)Applications are only accepted online. Applicants should visit the 2026 AIR OPEN CALL website to fill out the application form and complete the online application before 11:59:59 AM Taipei time on Monday, June 30, 2025 (the system will close at 12:00:00 PM on the same day).
Failure to complete the online application by the specified deadline will be considered overdue and will not be processed.

(2)Applicants can only choose one type of residency to apply for; multiple applications are not permitted.

(3)For the “International Residency,” applicants must provide a resume and residency plan in either English or Chinese. Applicants for the “Domestic Residency” only need to provide a resume and residency plan in Chinese.
Group applicants should apply under the group’s name and upload one document (a PDF file of no more than 6 pages) that includes the names (the primary and secondary representatives of the group must be explicitly indicated), resumes, nationalities, and collaboration or exhibition experience of each member to the application form.

(4)The “Overseas Residency Visit” only accepts individual applications. Applicants must provide resumes and residency plans in both English and Chinese, along with application materials.

Failure to provide complete information in both languages will be considered incomplete. Applicants must choose one international residency institution to apply to, as outlined in Appendix A, without submitting multiple applications.

Provided by Host Each selected artist will be provided with one free live-work studio space at THAV, project support, and coordination. Each selected artistic group will be provided with a maximum of two free accommodations/studios at THAV.
Costs The selected applicants have to apply for his/her/their visa and insurance personally.

Selection Procedure Submissions are reviewed by a jury of knowledgeable and respected artists and arts professionals. Each applicant’s application and portfolio will be reviewed by the AIR Taipei Admission jury. The jury makes selection decisions on the basis of the proposed projects irrespective of art form or medium. For all residency programs, the shortlist selection will be made by the AIR Taipei Admission jury. The final selection will be discussed with the jury and collaborated institutions. The decision will be posted on the AIR TAIPEI website by the end of September 2025. Only selected applicants will be informed by e-mail.
