Art Junction International Residency

Art Junction provides an open platform where creativity can unfold free from accustomed distractions. A unique atmosphere of an entirely new environment, developing interrelationships among artists from different geographical locations having varied social, religious and cultural perspectives, foster collaboration, encourage experimentation, exchanges and dialogues among practicing and emerging artists. The story of Art Junction residency begins with a dream of artist Dr. Chiman Dangi. Art residency in the village was his dream for many years. To raise awareness of rural art and culture that is being lost in a globalized world, to bring a positive changes between the global and the local culture, and to promote these community art forms in the new directions. Even today the Tribal village has many objects on which contemporary artists and traditional artists can work in collaboration, giving new life into contemporary art.

Artists-in-Residence (AIR) Program for 2025 Tsung-yeh Art and Cultural Center, Tainan, Taiwan

The theme for 2025 is “Site-Specific Art”. Artists shall observe the following contexts of Tainan City before creating works. The hydrology (including river basin and water management system), physiography (archaeological studies, soil, meteorology, or topographical variations), ecology (aquatic, amphibian, and terrestrial fauna and flora in the area), humanities (indigenous, agricultural, river-related, or ecology-related culture). Eligibility: ●Disciplines:all forms of artistic expression are acceptable. ●All applicants must be able to communicate in either English or Chinese. ●Applicants are required to plan their residency projects based on the theme of the residency, create their works in the form of on-site specific production, and prepare for the exhibition by integrating the historical heritage buildings of Tsung-yeh Arts and Cultural Center.

Farm Studio International Artist Residency 2025

Farm Studio International Artist Residency is located in a rural community in India. Residents stay and create in a quiet art centre and beautiful environment where they can develop their artwork free from accustomed distractions. Farm Studio residency provides three types of working spaces where artists can explore their art and ideas in the rural Rajasthani environment; at the Farm Studio indoor studios, the outdoor desert and farm environments, and in Andore Village. Here, collaboration and experimentation is encouraged. Relationships form between the artists coming from different countries and varied social, cultural, and artistic backgrounds. Many exciting exchanges and dialogues among artists take place, including scheduled artist talks, presentations, works in progress showings, etc. Farm Studio also promotes and celebrates the local community’s artistic and cultural identity while also introducing art and culture of others’ (Indian and International guests) back to the community. This intercultural exchange broadens everyone’s experiences and fosters art appreciation. Farm Studio International Artist Residency hosts artists from October to the end of February each year, with accommodations available for 3-6 residents at one time.
