Capacity: 12 participants; free of charge.

Australian artist-in-residence Daniele Poidomani, from the puppetry and inflatable art collective Memetica, will lead participants in exploring the relationship between fabric, air, and local memory through large-scale inflatable art, drawing inspiration from Tainan's distinctive salt and sugar industries.

During this three-hour international co-creation workshop, participants will be introduced to Memetica's large-scale puppetry and inflatable artworks and learn the basic principles of inflatable structures, pattern making, and sewing techniques. Using recycled fabrics, participants will cut, sew, and assemble materials to transform flat textiles into three-dimensional inflatable art installations.

Through collaborative discussions with the artist, participants will also explore how Tainan's salt and sugar industries have shaped the region's culture, society, and urban landscape, and consider ways of translating local memories into artistic inspiration. The workshop will conclude with testing the completed works, sharing outcomes, and exchanging ideas, bringing together hands-on artistic practice, international exchange, and local culture.
