“Where’s the Goblin?” continues the “Goblin Market” project initiated in 2025 through a collaboration between the Art Site and the Canada-based collective UKAI Projects. Inspired by Christina Rossetti’s classic work Goblin Market, we draw from its fantastical and layered world to rethink how creators might develop alternative modes of production, collaboration, and exchange beyond financial constraints and conventional market systems.
This year, we are creating an open platform within the main exhibition space. Through an open stage format, we invite a diverse range of cultural practitioners to enter the Art Site and engage with the local community. At the same time, we are issuing a call—seeking those who are willing to become “goblins.”
Perhaps you are an artist, a creator, a performer, or simply someone with a unique skill or sensibility. Within this space—where established notions of value are temporarily loosened—we hope to experiment together: when price is no longer the primary measure, how else might we form relationships and create exchanges?
So, would you be willing to become a goblin in this market?
What kind of “priceless offering” would you bring to exchange with others?
