Residenct Artist:
Dimension Plus
The Taiwan and Hong Kong based new media collective, DImension Plus, challenges biases in AI algorithms by using the Kanakanavu, an Indigenous group in Kaohsiung, as an example to highlight cultural bias in AI-generated content. The project focuses on geo-cultural content and aims to democratize the ownership of AI technology, fostering a more inclusive and equitable development of AI.

Hello Edo!
Hello Edo!, a group in Asia deeply interested in AI image generation technology, is presenting a project through a tech residency. It features images generated by blending Kaohsiung's local markets and vendors, which are then redrawn by a mechanical plotter. The work addresses the hype and contradictions surrounding image production and art in the age of AI.
