In this solo exhibition, "Secluded Precept" Tsai Min-Han reflects on his experiences and journey in woodworking by exploring the functionality and expression of ritual behaviors. Through analysis and introspection, he regards his craft as a form of religious devotion and an emotional outlet. By accumulating experience and engaging in creative practice, he has constructed three phases that represent his inner state: "Ignorance and Darkness," "Ritual of Shelter," and "Illuminating All Directions," serving as a pathway to build a narrative.

Using wood as the medium, the creations integrate various techniques such as joinery, lathe work, carving, and sandblasting. Through repetitive physical processes and methods of construction, Tsai creates components and introspective insights, continually comparing and examining the relationship between the artwork and his inner self throughout the creative process. This approach conveys the sensory and spiritual state of deep and silent moments after entrusting oneself to the craft.
