Lìzé Puppet Art Colony
Lìzé Puppet Art Colony, Taiwan’s first hub dedicated to contemporary puppetry, transforms a historic barn in Yilan into a vibrant center for creation, exchange, and cultural engagement. Rooted in the legacy of The Puppet and Its Double Theater, it fosters innovation while connecting Taiwanese artists with the global stage.
As one of Asia’s largest puppetry venues, it features exhibition spaces, professional workshops, studios, and performance areas. Its programs include artist residencies, masterclasses, and two annual festivals—Open Day (Summer) and Open Lab (Fall)—which promote public engagement and elevate Taiwan’s presence in the international puppetry community.
