Sapporo Tenjin-yama Art Studio opened on May 31, 2014 to the public, specifically to celebrate the opening of the Sapporo International Art Festival 2014, to foster artist-in-residence programs and other residency opportunities, and to enhance creative activities in the present-day and future Sapporo.
