Can Serrat was founded in 1988 by a group of 12 Norwegian artists. Their primary purpose was to create an exciting working and living space for themselves and others. Though much has happened over the years, the ir philosophy remains the same.

Can Serrat is located in a rustic farmhouse just 45 kilometerres outside Barcelona, Spain, within the confines of Montserrat Natural Park. Masia Can Serrat is over 200 years old and was originally built as a winery.

Can Serrat is just five minutes walk from the village of El Bruc. In the village, there are bars, restaurants, shops, a swimming pool, a pharmacy and a bank. Just up the hill from Can Serrat is El Bruc's beautiful romanesque church.

Many people come here to enjoy the local atmosphere, festivals and the natural beauty of the Montserrat State Parkmountain, the Monestary and the Penedes wine growing region.
