Can Serrat Collective Creation Laboratory 2027 explores walking as an artistic and research methodology. The program invites artists, writers, and researchers from diverse disciplines to engage in an intensive collective process situated within the landscape of Montserrat. Walking is understood as a generative practice for perceiving, mapping, narrating, and understanding place through embodied experience, sensory exploration, ecological observation, site-responsive creation, and reflective practices.
Duration January 10 – February 20, 2027. Applicants may participate for one to six weeks, depending on the selected program option.

Funding This program is partially funded and is not a fully funded residency. According to the organizer, the real value of the residency is estimated at €967 per week. Thanks to partial funding, participants can access the program at a reduced cost.
How to Apply Applicants must complete the online application form and submit one PDF document. The PDF must be titled:

Statement: maximum 500 words, or a 3-minute audio/video. The statement should describe the applicant’s practice, interests, context, and lines of research.
Motivation to participate in the laboratory: maximum 500 words. Applicants should describe their motivation, experience in collective processes, or interest in movement and creative practices.
Work sample: a 3-minute video, up to 10 images, a 3-minute audio file, or 1 page of writing.

Applicants may include links such as SoundCloud or YouTube within the PDF. Applications can be submitted in Catalan, Spanish, or English.
