2026 Goodunderground Art Space Artist-in-Residence Open Call Guidelines
The artist residency for this program is located at "Daily Stay" within Hualiendaily, situated right above Good Underground Art Space. Located at the intersection of Xingang Street and Jieyue Street in downtown Hualien, it is embedded in the city’s cultural context while preserving a simple, authentic local lifestyle. Just outside Hualien City, one can easily connect with the mountains and the sea. The diverse indigenous villages and the rural life of Taiwanese, Mainlander, and Hakka communities are all within close reach, which is a defining characteristic that sets Hualien City apart from major metropolises.

By leveraging its years of deep local connection, Good Underground Art Space hopes to provide artists with a free creative space and diverse natural and cultural experiences. Through sharing events during the residency, we aim to build an environment for artistic exchange and interaction, thereby boosting the artists' creative energy.
Duration Between August and November 2026, the residency period is expected to be based on a duration of 30–60 days (1–2 months).
