Artists are encouraged to develop works that respond to the local context, including themes such as military dependents’ village culture, daily life, historical memory (e.g., the August 23 Artillery Battle), and the surrounding community environment.
The program supports diverse artistic practices, including but not limited to visual arts, performing arts, literature, installation, new media, and cross-disciplinary creations.

| How to Apply | Applicants are required to complete an online application form and submit the following documents in hard copy: Application form Residency proposal Supporting documents (e.g., proof of registration for organizations, relevant certifications) All documents must be printed (A4, double-sided), compiled in order, and submitted in six copies by mail before the deadline (postmark accepted). |
| Selection Procedure | The selection process consists of two stages: Document Review (Preliminary Screening): Verification of application completeness and eligibility. Interview (Final Review): Shortlisted applicants will present their proposal and respond to questions. Evaluation criteria include: Artistic background and style (15%) Project feasibility and completeness (30%) Relevance to residency themes (20%) Spatial planning and execution methods (15%) Creativity of public engagement/feedback plan (20%) |
| Expected Outcome | During the residency, selected artists are required to: Participate in exhibitions, including an initial presentation and a final showcase Provide at least two public engagement activities, such as workshops, lectures, performances, or community events Present works or related materials in the ground-floor space for public viewing Support guided tours by providing information about their work and concepts These activities aim to strengthen interaction between art, the local community, and visitors. |
