| Provided by Host | Six weeks of accommodation, an individual mini-apartment, access to the professionally equipped printmaking studio, weekday technical guidance and support, basic materials such as proofing paper and ink, and a dialogue-based programme; partners and children are welcome at no extra cost. |
| Costs | Participation fee of €2,500 including accommodation; artists must also cover transport, food and drink, personal expenses, materials such as paper, special inks and copper plates, and the use of equipment in the digital studio. |
| How to Apply | Apply through the online application form on the official website during the open call period, in English or Dutch. Required documents include an artist statement, a clearly formulated artistic proposal, a motivation letter, a recent portfolio from the last five years, and a concise CV; each attachment must not exceed 10 MB. |
| Selection Procedure | Applications are assessed by a selection committee consisting of MASEREEL’s director, residency coordinator, and external art professionals such as artists and curators. Evaluation focuses on the quality and positioning of the work, the significance and urgency of the proposal, and the applicant’s motivation and the residency’s added value for their practice. |
| Expected Outcome | In week 6, residents take part in an informal presentation of their work and, in consultation with the studio coordinators, decide which works—up to three—will be included in the MASEREEL collection. |
