Folimage Animation Studio is located in Valence, southern France. It was founded in 1981 by director and producer Jacques-Rémy Girerd, and has been led by Reginald de Guillebon since 2016. Folimage is dedicated to creating animated films for children and has organized an annual artist residency program for more than 25 years, supporting over 30 outstanding animation filmmakers to date.
This artist residency program is designed to offer directors from around the world the opportunity to create a personal six-minute animated film, combining comedy and humorous elements for audiences aged 5 to 7. All animation techniques are accepted except 3D.
Starting from the beginning of next year, the selected winner will go to Folimage Studio in Valence for a residency of 10 months to 1 year to produce the film, using the studio’s facilities to complete the work. After the film is broadcast on the BENSHI channel, it will also be included in a nationwide cinema distribution program by GEBEKA FILMS, a regional screening program by MÈCHE COURTE, and submitted to the global network of agencies of the Institut Français.
.Residency conditions
Applicants must submit a project with a distinctive authorial perspective, create original visual material, and have already directed one or two short films, including films made in art schools. In the case of multiple authors, only the director may take part in the residency program.

| Funding | Folimage will provide travel expenses, studio space, accommodation, and €15,000 in copyright fees and living expenses. The work will be included in the nationwide theatrical screening program of GEBEKA FILMS in France and will also be made available for use by French overseas offices. |
