The theme shall be related to “sugar” or “salt”. Soulangh Cultural Park used to be an important sugar refinery founded during the Japanese-rule era. Artists who participate in the 2026 Soulangh AiR Program are encouraged to explore their art practice based on the theme, “sugar”. Furthermore, since Soulangh Cultural Park is situated in Jiali District, the geographical center of the so-called Saline Land in Tainan, “salt” can also be the theme for the artists to reinterpret and represent the landscapes, culture, and history of this unique region through their artworks.
