Breaking the boundary between Co-Working space and the traditional hotel, KAGAN HOTEL is a residency-based multipurpose arts facility where young artists can develop their work and pursue their art in a cooperative living environment. It is a place where art lovers and art practitioners come together from around the world.
The basement of KAGAN HOTEL consists of a 24-hour open gallery and studio. The 1st floor serves as the lobby for checking in. On the 2nd floor, there are studios available for artists and residents to use 24 hours a day, and it also provides space for long-term storage of works for resident creators and artists. The 3rd floor is the living space for emerging artists. The 4th floor is an economic art hostel suitable for long-term guests. The top floor, the 5th floor, is an experiential art hotel. Guests staying on the 5th floor can select and appreciate an artwork created by emerging artists residing in KAGAN HOTEL or in Kyoto. For emerging artists, residing in this establishment not only provides them with a place to live, work, and create, but also allows them to meet art enthusiasts and collectors from all over the world. The expenses for purchasing artworks by guests or collectors become a source of income for the artists, sustaining their continuous creation.
