Ying Chiun Lee

Born in 1990, Ying Chiun Lee is a multimedia artist from Taoyuan, Taiwan. She graduated from the Department of Architecture Design at Shih Chien University and earned an MFA in glass from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Currently she based in the New York. She explores the fluidity of materials to blend traditional crafts with contemporary art. Her work addresses themes of gender and sexual fluidity across various media, including video, photography, neon light installations, and glass sculpture. Lee’s creations are deeply influenced by feminism, queer theory, linguistics, and East Asian diasporic politics.
