Delfina Foundation is an independent, non-profit foundation dedicated to facilitating artistic exchange and developing creative practice through residencies, partnerships and public programming.
Founded in 2007, the Foundation promotes cross-cultural dialogue and artistic experimentation. The Foundation creates opportunities for emerging and established artists, curators and writers to reflect on their practice within relevant global discourse, create career-defining research and commissions, and network with colleagues. From January 2014, DF will welcome residents from across the globe, to forge international collaborations. The new focus will be on building shared platforms to incubate, to present and to discuss common practice mainly within a thematic context.
Delfina Foundation’s premises consist of two recently refurbished Edwardian houses, located in Central London, only 100 metres from Buckingham Palace and walking distance to many of London's iconic landmarks, from Trafalgar Square to Big Ben, and major art spaces such as Tate Britain, Institute of Contemporary Arts, National Gallery, Royal Academy, Saatchi Gallery and National Portrait Gallery.
