ACC Taiwan Foundation ("ACCTF") provides grants annually to Taiwanese artists and scholars for research or creative work in the United States and countries throughout Asia. Working in partnership with ACC headquarters in New York, the common goal is to support transformative cultural exchange so as to advance mutual understanding between individuals and communities in Asia and the U.S.
ACCTF accepts grant applications from a variety of fields. Past grantees include internationally recognized theater directors, conservation specialists, choreographers, arts administrators, curators, painters, sound artists, and more. Over the past years, there have been more than 300 Taiwanese grantees.
ACCTF is inviting grant proposals from qualified individuals with deadline on November 9, 2017 11:59 pm EST / November 10, 2017 12:59pm Taipei Time. Applicants must submit their proposals online in both Chinese and English, using ACC's grant application platform.

Eligibility and Grant Categories:
For the 2018 grant cycle, the fellowships below will be open to applicants from Taiwan:
1. New York Fellowship Program
For individuals who wish to participate in a six-month fellowship program based in New York City. The program includes comprehensive logistical and programmatic support from ACC staff. Fellowships may involve targeted research, but open-ended exploration is also allowed and encouraged.
2. Individual Fellowship Program
For individuals undertaking self-directed research trips of one to six months. Partial funding for dissertation research projects of up to one year is also available in this category.
3. Graduate Scholarships
For students pursuing graduate degrees in the U.S., with priority given to students who do not have access to comparable programs at home, and to those studying in fields that are underrepresented in their home country. Scholarships are for one year and provide for travel expenses and a living stipend, but cannot support full tuition costs.
Applicants will be required to complete or provide the following online:

4. CV or Resume and Headshot
5. 2 Letters of Recommendation (to be in English)
