Located on the southside of the Tramontana Mountains only 30 minutes away from Palma, the Central Cultural Andratx (CCA) is dedicated to the creation and exhibition of contemporary art. To the general public it offers a unique cultural experience, whereas the studio program is open to national and international artists.
The Centre is situated in a beautiful natural surrounding in the town of Sa Coma (Andratx), just at a 30-minute drive from Palma. The grounds of CCA Andratx spread from the small village of Sa Coma up through the valley with the fertile terraces to the high pine-covered mountains that lead directly to the sign-posted nature walks for which Mallorca is so famous. Here people can walk for hours with breathtaking beautiful scenery as your sole companion.
The exhibition spaces are large but flexible with concrete flooring and simple white walls. There are no windows to the surrounding landscape, but from the patio large glass doors open into the exhibition halls, the gift shop and the restaurant, with the light being beautifully filtered through the colonnade.
Andratx is a small town situated in a beautiful valley with terraced crops stretching up the mountainside. A few kilometres away lies Port Andratx, a charming harbour town situated between steep mountain slopes.
