YANG CHE-YI, 'Empty City Strategy 空城計'
Yang Che-Yi works with photography, video, sound and installation. Repeatedly, he examines his home country Taiwan and China, with regard to the field of tension between economic boom, unbridled capitalism, and the accompanying threat to and destruction of unique landscapes.
'VITAL ECHO', Matias Bechtold, Fabian Fobbe, Stefan Hirsig, Stefanie Kabitzke, Daniel Kannenberg, Kanta Kimura, Bernd Koberling, Marco Meiran, Adam Saks, Peter Stauss, Kristjan Steingrímur, Christine Streuli, Filip Zorzor
Following on from the exhibition 'Umfeld Böhme' (November 2015) the exhibition Vital Echo is devoted to another important artistic “impulse giver” and role model: painter Bernd Koberling (*1938), successful in West Berlin, who functions as a 'primus inter pares' (first among equals) and is much revered for that very reason. 'Vital Echo' presents Koberling among some of the many artists he inspired and taught.
From 7 – 10 pm on the opening night, the following artists will be opening their studios to offer visitors interesting insights into their current projects: Jesse Amado (USA), Stijn Ank (Belgium), Orawan Arunrak (Thailand), Céline Burnand (Switzerland), Åsa Cederqvist (Sweden), Elizabeth Hoak-Doering (Cyprus), Carl Johan Högberg (Netherlands), Han Seok Hyun (Korea), Song Sung Jin (Korea), Sveinn Fannar Jóhannsson (Norway), Tatiana Macedo (Portugal), Shubigi Rao (Singapore), Anahita Razmi (Iran), Claudia Sarnthein (Great Britain), Kama Sokolnicka (Poland), Akiko Utsumi (Japan), The Hotham Street Ladies/Lyndal Walker (Australia), Chih-Chien Wang (Canada-Québec), Yang Che-Yi (R.O.C.-Taiwan)
