Contemporary Art International
The goal of CAI is to provide artists with the necessary resources to develop and realize ambitious projects and ideas. We officially opened to the public in 2010. The art grounds include a 7,000 square feet multi-purpose studio building contains two galleries, one classroom, one multidisciplinary performance hall and acres of outdoor working space equipped with industrial electricity, water, and machinery such as compressors, lifts, bobcat and welder. In our performance hall lives “The Container Man”, a sculptural stage that carries its own sound system and multi-media technology capable for creating multi-disciplinary performance. In addition, we have a resident house where resident artists have private bedrooms, wireless internet access, office, shared kitchen and living rooms. The facilities are established to serve the following programs: Artist-Residency, Symposium, Art Education, the Container Man Project and Exhibition. The Programs are symbiotic; none of them stand alone without the benefit from the others. Our programming season is from May to December. Our grounds are surrounded by nearly 100 acres of beautifully maintained trailed Town forest and Recreation Park with weekly outdoor concerts and culture programs. A 1.5-acre pond in the middle of our art grounds offers artistic meeting places and recreational possibilities.
